Cut 1.8 ounces of green onions into sections, slice 0.7 ounces of fresh ginger, cut 0.7 ounces of dried chili peppers into segments, chop 1 pork shank bone into pieces.

Place the pork shank bone pieces in a pot and add enough cold water to cover them completely.
